How is a custom insert made?
Send 3D data, dimensioned photos or a sample unit. We design the cutout layout, confirm an insert sample with you, then run production. Common models ship from existing data.
Will air freight pressure lock the case shut?
No. The automatic pressure equalization valve balances internal pressure while keeping the seal waterproof.
Do you offer anti-static interiors?
Yes — anti-static foam and conductive EVA with surface resistance in the 10^6–10^9 ohm range for PCBs and electronic modules.
Plastic vs aluminum instrument cases?
At equal protection, engineering-plastic cases are lighter, corrosion-free, dent-free and better sealed than most riveted aluminum cases — at lower volume cost.
MOQ and lead time?
50 pcs for stock sizes with 7-day dispatch; custom inserts 15–20 days; new tooling 35–45 days.
How do you keep instruments in calibration after shipping?
By interrupting the vibration path: high-density EVA is cut to the instrument profile so a 20–30 mm cushion separates it from the shell, with energy-absorbing foam underneath. For high-precision units we can add isolation mounts or a suspended insert to attenuate transport shock within the instrument's tolerance.
Can the case be made moisture-proof or hold desiccant?
Yes. We commonly mold a desiccant pocket into the insert and combine it with IP67 sealing for long-term dryness. For high-value stored instruments we can add humidity indicator cards or a breather-valve version so you can read the internal condition at a glance.
Can the interior be split into layers?
Yes. A common layout puts the main unit on the upper level and cables and accessories below, divided by an EVA tray with pull tabs. Drawer-style or hinged compartments are also available so field crews can reach accessories without unpacking everything.
How do you protect an instrument's display panel?
The insert is relieved above the screen so nothing touches the display — load is carried only on the chassis frame, preventing lid pressure from reaching the glass. A soft pad can be added in the lid for two-way protection where needed.
What standard sizes are available?
Our stock molds run from roughly 200 mm internal length for handheld meters up to 800 mm-plus for benchtop instrument transit cases, across more than a dozen size steps. Send the instrument's dimensions and weight and we will match the closest existing mold to avoid tooling cost.
Do you make 19-inch rack-mount cases?
Yes. We offer rack-frame protective cases supporting 2U to 8U equipment, with the rack isolated from the shell by shock mounts — suitable for field test systems, communications gear and mobile equipment rooms.
